Merrell, an apple orchard, and cotton farming; one image of Chisos mines; images of the Rio Grande; and one of Capote Falls on Brite's Ranch near Marfa.

West Texas photographer born in Missouri in 1878. His father was a farmer; while Duncan was a child, his family moved first to California and then to Texas. As a young man he spent a short time in Canada fishing. He returned to West Texas to prospect. He traveled West Texas taking photographs from 1916-1926.
